Visualizing the Future of Aerospace

From 2002 to 2019, Immersicom’s senior leadership served in the capacity as Boeing’s visualization and design services agency, consistently renewing their contract every three years. The relationship spanned Boeing Defense Services (BDS) and Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCS) divisions across multiple locations from Seal Beach to Saint Louis, and Seattle.

Our cornerstone achievement was creating the VIP system, a three-screen platform that became Boeing’s primary presentation system in their exhibits. This system translated Boeing’s diverse solutions through a macro-to-micro visualization approach, with every Boeing defense division incorporating custom modules.

A critical challenge Immersicom addressed was Boeing’s inability to effectively communicate their network-centric approach in the early 2000s. The defense industry was transitioning to interconnected platforms for common operating pictures, data sharing, and sensor fusion. We developed innovative ways to visualize and explain these complex systems-of-systems stories.

For Boeing Commercial Aircraft, we supported numerous product launches with animation work, screenwriting, content development, and video production. The team also created Boeing’s annual leadership meeting videos and provided comprehensive support for global airshows including Paris, Farnborough, and Dubai events.

Later projects included the widely distributed “Precision Craftsmanship” video for the 777X launch and interactive model platforms supporting international sales efforts, such as helping Boeing sell next-generation F-15s to the Korean government and programs for 777x and 787.

Beyond external marketing, we supported Boeing’s internal communications, produced countless B2B and B2C videos, graphics and assets helped design content for Boeing’s Customer Engagement Center in Seattle.
